Today, I received a thank you note from a student whose school I visited this week. Like many others I have received over the past two years, it really demonstrated how much children listen to my every word. It is an incredible responsibility to have their attention and their ears - hundreds of them nearly every month around the country. The message I share is one of perseverance and role modeling. They need to hear every day that they matter, that they are loved and that someone believes in them simply because they exist. I believe in them...every single one. I believe they matter...every single one. Each little life is fully valued and appreciated. It's been a difficult couple weeks for kids in the U.S. and around the world. If you are an educator, coach, parent, aunt or uncle, etc., remember to tell those children you value them every day. It matters.
So amazing to meet this Shelly Bean the Sports Queen Fan Club Member at a school visit in Rockford, MN. She even wore her Shelly Bean jersey to school!
It's a major flu season and the germs are flowing but that won't stop me from visiting my favorite people and sharing the message of Shelly Bean the Sports Queen! Last week, I was in Rockford, MN and at Garfield Elem in Brainerd, MN.
